1. Who we are

Myrtle Beach Plumbing Expert is a referral and matching service operating on the Grand Strand in South Carolina. We are not a plumbing contractor. We do not employ plumbers and we do not perform plumbing work.

Our role is to take your request and pass it to independent plumbing companies that are licensed and insured and that work in your area.

2. What we collect

When you call us, we collect your name, the phone number you call from or give us, the address or area where the work is needed, and a description of the job.

We record inbound and outbound calls. Recording begins at the start of the call. If you would rather not be recorded, say so and we will take the details without recording, or you can end the call.

We use call tracking. That means the number displayed on this website may be routed, and we log the date, time, duration and originating number of calls, along with which page or advertisement the number was displayed on.

If you visit this website we may collect standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view, through the call tracking provider and any analytics we run.

3. Who we share it with, and why

This is the important section. We share the details of your request, including your name, phone number, service address and job description, with independent plumbing companies in our network.

We may share the same request with more than one company. More than one may therefore contact you about it. This is deliberate and it is how you end up with more than one estimate.

Those companies pay us for the requests we send them. That is how the service is paid for and it is why it costs you nothing.

Once a request reaches a plumbing company, that company handles your information under its own privacy practices, which we do not control. If you want to know how a particular company treats your details, ask it directly.

We also share information with service providers that run things on our behalf, such as our telephone, call tracking and messaging providers. We do not sell your information to data brokers or to advertisers unrelated to your request.

4. Text messages

We may send you text messages about your request, for example to confirm details or to tell you that a company is going to call.

Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them and HELP for help. Opting out of texts does not withdraw your request; call us if you want the request itself canceled.

5. How long we keep it

We keep request records and call recordings for as long as we need them to run the service, resolve disputes about a referral and meet our record keeping obligations. When a record is no longer needed for those purposes we delete it.

6. Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call or email using the details on the contact page and we will deal with it.

Deleting your details does not reach back into the plumbing companies that have already received your request. You would need to ask each of them separately.

You can ask us not to share a request with more than one company. Say so when you call and we will send it to one only.

7. Children

This service is for adults arranging work on a property. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or who we share it with, we update this page and the effective date at the top. Practices that change include adding analytics, an advertising pixel, a contact form, email marketing, or a new category of company that receives caller details.
